Eduardo Betes was born in Paiporta (Valencia) in 1992.
In 2014 he finished his clarinet studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo de València.
He completed the Master’s degree in clarinet performance at the Kunstuniversität Graz (Austria), obtaining in the final exam the highest qualification unanimously by the five members of the jury.
He collaborated with professional ensembles such as the National Orchestra of Spain, the Spanish Radio Television Orchestra, the Municipal Band of Bilbao and the Municipal Symphonic Band of Madrid.
Since 2020 he is part of the staff of the Municipal Band of Barcelona.
In 2022 he studied the Master in composition of soundtracks and music for audiovisual media at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC).
In 2023 he was awarded the audience award for best soundtrack at the FX Film Fest festival for writing the original music for the short film “Tiet”. This same music was also nominated for the “Festival de Sitges” for best original music in the category of “New Authorship”.
He has been winner of the X Composition Contest for Symphonic Band “Josep Maria Lleixà” organized by the Catalan Federation of Musical Societies with his work “Reminiscences”.
In 2024 he receives the “Mention of Honor” in the VIII International Prize of composition for Band Vila de Muro 2024 for his work “The Arnold’s count legend”.
Currently, he combines his work as a clarinetist in the Barcelona Municipal Band with that of a composer, where his music has already crossed borders and been performed in Europe, America and Asia.
